What former porn stars say about HIV in Porn

"AIM likes to state that testing is enough. That's completely false. It's very dangerous. It should be required that you wear a condom on the set. Making $10,000 or $15,000 for porn isn't worth your life. Performers need to be educated." - Derrick, former porn actor who caught HIV

"It totally made me realize how I trusted this system that wasn’t to be trusted at all, because it obviously doesn’t work. We should think about these issues right now, to change stuff around to make this a safer business. It isn’t a safe business, and I thought it was, and I would have not did that scene with no condom with Darren James if it would have crossed my mind that those tests weren’t good and that I couldn’t trust him or the people he’s been with. I thought porn people were the cleanest people in the world, is what I thought." - Lara Roxx, former porn actress who caught HIV in her first scene

It's time for the Adult Industry to start taking care of the performers who put the money into the pockets of the companies hiring them by regulating condom use!! It isn't those guys who are coming up HIV positive,  it's the performers that they bank on! It's time for the industry to raise the bar and do something that truly is productive and saves lives by making condom use mandatory!!! I hate to read about another case and go wow this could have been me! I was blessed by the hands of God to make it out of the industry clean, scarred for life, but clean of disease. There are so very few who can actually say that for themselves. May God bless their souls! - Victoria, former porn actress.

I thank GOD every day that I am Free from this deadly industry!" But I am truly saddened by this HIV outbreak. I feel sorry for the individuals that will suffer with the fear of the unknown because of not properly tested or cared for by AIM Health Care Foundation! The porn industry needs to come to an end! These people are horrible and don't care about the health and safety of the performers they just care about the money. The State of California must do something about this HIV scare and something must be done today! - Madelyne, former porn performer.

This is the 4th outbreak of HIV in the porn industry since 1998. How many more lives will the illegally operating porn industry be allowed to destroy before the state of California intervenes and enforces the safety laws that are already in place? How much longer will the porn industry be permitted to ignore these laws, and place the safety of its workers in jeopardy?! – April Garris, former porn actress

Another case of HIV in the porn industry, and yet the porn industry continues to insist that they have safety practices in place with “positive results” and that these practices protect their employees, I think not. The only positive results they have are seen in the incessant spreading of sexually transmitted infections.– Jan Meza, former porn actress.

HIV “aimed” at the porn industry again?? I demand that the State of California DO SOMETHING NOW about the HIV porn pandemic and the rampant STD’s that is plaguing Los Angeles County ten times more than the general population! California, SHUT DOWN THE PORN INDUSTY! - Former porn actress and Executive Director of Pink Cross Foundation, Shelley Lubben.
