How to Reach Sex Workers

VICTIMS VS. VOLUNTARY............ and TREATMENTS OF EACH......

Sex Trafficking Victims VS. Sex Industry Voluntaries and Approaches to Treatment/ Spiritual Recovery

Is the approach to the treatment of VICTIMS OF SEX TRAFFICKING the same as for women in VOLUNTARY POSITIONS of the sex industry??????

Is it appropriate to group and treat both together in treatment or are there different needs for each?

Do you feel an environment of isolation (for protection) and strict adherence to rules of compliance (for the enforcement of recovery) is helpful or harmful to women coming out of the sex industry?

Does ANyone know how to reach girls on Craiglist

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knows how to reach out to girls that post themselves on Craiglist and Backpage? Like to what to say in an e-mail? How to refer to them in Pink Cross?

My experiences helping prostituted women

I'm not a minister or practitioner, but I did help two women leave prostitution in 2008 and 2009. I've written my experiences down for this forum in hopes that they will be of some help to others. I will post it in 2 parts since it is long.

During the years 2000-2002, serial killer [edited by admin] was murdering prostituted women here in the [edited by admin] area. As more women were found, I decided that I would someday try to help others like them.

Helping sex workers who have drug problems

I have recently had to deal with women who are doing meth and stripping and want out. Right now we have them go to detox and a 28 day in patient program, then have them follow up with Celebrate Recovery.
I don't really like NA and AA programs, since you have to speak curses over your life (I am an addict) and CR has you say I am a child of God working on my addiction issues- which is the truth!
and CR has same sex groups, which with all the issues sex workers have I think is better....

prostitution intervention

Hey everyone! I am trying to set up a prostitution intervention/prevention program at the juvenile detention center. Any ideas on how to proceed????

I am thinking of having a couple of ex-girls share their stories and I am looking for a bible study or a presentation that we can use to facilitate talking.....does anyone have any ideas???

Rule n°1

To my opinion (and from my small experience), rule n°1 of outreaching is given by Our Lord himself :

Mark 4:26-29
The Parable of the Growing Seed
26 He also said, "This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. 27 Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. 28 All by itself the soil produces grain—first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. 29 As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come."

Reaching sex workers in Paris

A few words to introduce me : I am a 41 years old Frenchman, married since the age of 25 and father of two daughters (15 and 7)...And my job is marketing qualitative studies (now as a free lance)
I started 6 years ago to reach street prostitutes who worked in the neighbourhood of my office. My aim was, as a Christian activist, to talk to them about my faith and to help them (if possible) to quit prostitution.

How to Help Sex workers??

Ok, here is a question for you guys. What do you all think of open air preaching outside of these S&M and assorted adult entertainment gatherings?
Any advice?

Need Advice On How To Approach Ex-Girlfriend/Prostitute

Does anyone have any advice on how to talk to my ex-girlfriend who used to moonlight as a prostitute? We fell in love over a year ago, I got her to quit the industry, but then we broke up after 6 months of one crazy rollercoaster ride. I could no longer deal with her promiscuous behavior and she could no longer deal with me constantly hounding her about her issues. Since then, we have been seperated and she has found employment as a bartender and has begun randomly dating sugar daddies.

HEARTBREAKERS

Lately I have had a real passion to want to equip others to reach out and care for sex workers so bear with me while I get everything out!

I have been working with sex workers and women in rescue missions, prisons and my own ministry for six years and have learned many lessons along the way.

One of the lessons I want to share with you is that girls we help will often break your heart. But we STILL reach out and try anyways!
