Hi:
I'm really nervous about asking people to pray for me but I'm facing a test this weekend and I need all the help I can get. God led me to this website two weeks ago after I prayed and asked him to help rid myself of the sin of pornography and I have been free ever since.
But this weekend my wife and daughter left to spend time with my wife's family, leaving me alone at home. This has always been a major trigger for me. Pray for me please. Thankyou
-Tim

What you wrote really helped

I didn't want to dissapoint my family or anyone on this board and I kept thinking about my next donation to pink cross. I have promised to donate to pink cross monthly if I no longer use pornography. I donated three bibles when this began. I kept thinking about how good that felt. Two weeks and two days. Next friday will be three weeks. One week after that four. And I will make my next donation. I can't wait.
Thankyou so much Gina!!! I am terrible at this! I can't tell you how much this means to me. Please. Dear God. Thankyou so very very much!
"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint."

Captaindoc2, thank you back!

Captaindoc2, thank you back! haha!

Do you know that I was driving home yesterday in the afternoon and I thought to myself, Oh man, Gina! All Captaindoc2 did was ask you to pray and you practically gave the man a sermon.

And so I was going to ask your forgiveness. But God heard my prayer! Here you are thanking me, and of course this makes me praise the Lord and thank Him with you.

I really do appreciate your feedback!

It is so GOOD to have you here. Thank you for joining.

Your friend in Christ,
Gina

That's wonderful news, Tim!

That's wonderful news, Tim! God did it again!!

Luke 15:7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.

He always will be there for you. For us ALL.

Romans 11:32
For God hath shut up all unto disobedience, that he might have mercy upon all.

He will completely heal you. He is the Great Physician.

There is coming a day when you won't even have to think about it or struggle, and do you know why? Because that glorifies Him. No one, absolutely no one will EVER mock God. God will NOT be mocked.

My Abba. Your Abba. Our Papa!

Our Dad!

I am so happy that you are happy (blessed! to be envied!)

James 5:11
Behold, we count them HAPPY which ENDURE. Youhave heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the END OF THE LORD; that the Lord is VERY pitiful, and of *tender* MERCY.

Love to you and yours, Tim.

Thankyou

Thankyou Gina for all your time, thought and compassion. The boulder idea sounds great but I've gotten ridden of my computer before. Didn't work. I went out and bought a bigger, better one.
External fixes are only temporary. Permanent fixes come from within.
Sunday morning. No slip. It was difficult but when I was at my weakest, I took out my bible, knelt and prayed.
Thankyou again, Gina.

Beloved, if our heart

Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.

And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

(1 John 3)

Dear Captaindoc2:

I will definitely pray for you. And thank you for asking! I will ask with expectation, the Lord to direct your steps.

We are all in the hands of the All Wise and All Knowing. He knows the beginning from the end. And so, nothing we could do can shock Him.

1 John 3:20-23 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.

But are we not utterly shocked by our own actions and by how weak the flesh is? It's a humbling thing to realize that we cannot by our selves direct our own steps.

Proverbs 16:9: In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD directs his steps.

Will the guilt you feel after the pleasure be worth it? Guilt is such a heavy burden and a heavy price to pay. Jesus doesn't want you to have that kind of burden... "My burden is light." You are heavy laden with the pulls of the flesh.

"My burden is light."

Call on God to give you the strength to concentrate and put your mind on how relaxed you'll be when you see your wife and daughter again without the gnawing a guilty conscience.

Do you think it would be helpful to go back and reread your last prayer request and post to remind you how you felt? Not that I think you've forgotten, but just to serve as a reminder/refresher.

At any rate, you have asked a good prayer which is in accord with God's will -- and anything we pray according to God's will, we know He hears and we have what we ask.

1 John 5:14-16 (Amplified Bible)

14And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: [we are sure] that if we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan), He listens to and hears us.

15And if (since) we [positively] know that He listens to us in whatever we ask, we also know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted us as our present possessions] the requests made of Him.

One good thing to focus our thoughts on is that God IS making progress in you, because there was a time when you didn't even care. Remember? You'd forgotten what it meant to blush.

Jeremiah 8:12 (KJV) Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they BLUSH:

Now, you care! That is good! This is a *step* in the right direction!

So, let's give thanks to God for what He is about to do! You have a Champion inside of you!

Love,
Gina

p.s. Oh, Lord, may a big boulder come crashing through Captaindoc's house and smash his computer and / or TV set. Just kiddin --- that won't get the sin out of the sinner. God desires you to have a new heart.

p.p.s. May God bless you (make you HAPPY!) as you seek His perfect will.
