By the way, I have not had any more problems with dizziness and nausea...and the ringing in my ears has diminished...it has not bothered me like it did when I first got my new hearing aids. I still would prefer God heal my deafness completely than to keep wearing hearing aids...so I am seeking to come to a place where my faith is built up to believe I am healed, that "by His stripes, we are healed".

Thanks smile. I needed that...satan has been trying to get me down about my testimony cuz I have shared my "minor" healing with a number of others, and it seems hardly anyone seems to think much of it. I was hoping to get a chance to share it at my church, but no dice. So I have been feeling rather down and discouraged, and feeling rejected, sigh. Leave it to satan to make us feel these stupid things, ughh. I have to remind myself that too many people, christians included, don't recognize God's miraculous healing power, and I should not get upset about it and take it personal...it is just unfortunate that many christians don't believe in it or downplay how good and awesome God is, etc. I shared my testimony because "we overcome by the blood and with the word of our testimony" and to give thanks to God for His grace and love...I was wanting to encourage others about God's grace and agape love for us and that He does heal. But this is building up my faith...I know what happened and can appreciate what God did for me...I'll have to let Him deal with others who don't see it for what it is. So, I'm trying not to let this get me down. I do want to encourage everyone here with my testimony...my foot is almost completely healed of the bruising and swelling...the pain/discomfort is almost completely healed, too, and it's been one week and two days now--from a severe ankle sprain! So I continue to thank God and praise Him for it!

Again, "I give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, and His love and grace endure forever!!"

Hey, an update:

I enjoyed my visit with my son. My mom came and brought food to cook and he and my mom both helped cook and serve food. How sweet is that! I am humbled and touched by how my son has grown up to be such a wonderful young man in spite of all he has dealt with...

I have found out that I do not have a broken foot, it was just severely sprained, and the orthopedic dr gave me a boot to use along with the crutches the hospital e.r. gave me. They want to see me again in two weeks and gave me meds and exercises to do with this long blue rubber band type thing...(what are they called)? Anyway, this is day four after my incident, and all day today, I have been able to walk around with nothing but two ace bandages wrapped around my foot! No boot/splint, no crutches! My foot is still a bit swollen all around, and bruised on both sides of my ankle and the inside of my foot and the top of my foot near my toes-- but especially on the opposite side of my ankle--the inside of my foot; it is truly black and blue. But this evening, I was even able to take off the ace bandages and walk with just my bare injured foot with hardly any pain! Looking online about sprained ankles, severely sprained ankles normally can take up to (or even longer than) 6 weeks to heal!

It looks like the "dream" I had is coming true, a true word from God! Those prayers of the women and my husband and you guys are coming true! Truly He is good..."Give thanks to the Lord for He is good, and His love and grace endure forever!"

I am humbled cuz I have been running from God again, sigh, and went to the women's retreat primarily just to get a break from the responsibilities of mommy and wife...and spend time with other women. God wasn't my goal, sigh. So He definitely showed His grace and compassion for me in healing me quickly even though I have been pulling myself away from Him continually.

So I give God all the glory, and am sharing my testimony to encourage everyone that He is hearing our prayers and He is answering them and does so even when we aren't being the best Christian we should be...that He will demonstrate His grace and love and compassion and power just because!

think of what his absolute favorite ordering out food is and get that delivered for him. Tell him that we all said Happy Birthday.

Keep your head up. God is so good at speedy recoveries. I have a scar on my wrist from a surgery where they removed a cyst. my recovery time was about 1/4 of the normal time. the doctor was kind of amazed as was I. but yeah. God really knows how to fix things fast. but it's also ok to take this time to let people baby you for a bit.

Now I have a new prayer request, sigh! I went on a women's retreat this past weekend to a 4 H camp. One hour after we arrived, we were all going to our rooms to put up our bags and get ready to go to a meeting. I was on the first floor, so it was down a hill and some steps...I went down the steps, and missed the last one and crashed! I sprained my ankle something awful! It swelled up soo bad it was freaky looking...the side of my ankle where the bone is... it was sooo swollen. I was in a lot of pain friday nite and sat morning. It finally got a lot better after lots of ice! The ladies prayed for me. By the time we got home saturday afternoon, the swelling went down a good bit and not as much pain, but went to the emergency room and they did an xray, and felt I still needed to go to an orthopedic doctor to make sure whether it was broken or not. So will call Monday. Meantime, I am walking around in a semi-cast (they call it a splint, I call it a cast!) and crutches. Trying to get around in that with four little ones between 8 and 2...help! Pray that God will heal me up quickly and I will have a testimony to share that a severely sprained/broken ankle that may normally take weeks to heal, was healed in less than a week! I'll keep ya'll up to date...my oldest son who just had his 18th birthday Friday is visiting this weekend, and I can't cook or anything for him, pout. Life. God can cause all things to work together for good!

Thanks so much! I do need to stop letting the devil get me down. Thanks for encouraging me...that I am precious in His eyes (we all are!) and I need to stand on that, rather than continuing to beat up and kick on myself for not being "perfect"...I oftentimes feel like I can never remember all my sins and there will always be something I forgot or am not dealing with or even refusing to deal with or refusing to change, so then its like satan has all this to hang over my head...ughh, vicious cycle. I do feel like I am slowly getting better, stronger, but still falling back into same old traps...but if I can stop overwhelming myself, trying to tackle everything all at once, and just deal with a little at a time, then perhaps I will be able to make steady progress...this make sense?

I felt like all I was doing was upsetting you more and figured it would be best to just stay away from ya cuz we probably had personality conflict or something, smile. While You can accomplish much in our hearts through physical issues (like You have in my life through asthma), I'm going to be a little selfish and ask You to heal her hearing (and anything else You want to).

Your attitude and faith is such an encouragement to me, because I have been asking the Lord to build up my faith, too, and it's not always easy.

Remember that every tear you cry, God is right there crying with you. Never give up hope for healing miracles. I think sometimes we don't see the miracles that we pray for because we give up too soon. even if it's years that we wait, so hang in there dear Sister.

I went to my audiologist and an ENT doctor, and apparently, the ENT doctor thinks I may have had a virus that was causing me problems with ringing in my ears, dizziness, and nausea. He wanted to give me steroids, I said no thanks! My audiologist and the ENT doctor both said there was no point in doing another hearing test cuz my hearing loss is so severe it would not even be helpful...my audiologist said it is possible that I could have lost some hearing, cuz I told her I don't feel like I hear as well in my right ear anymore. UGhh. And this whole afternoon was difficult, this evening was yuck!

But I know God is still God, He is still in control, He is still good, still all powerful, still all agape-loving ...nothing is too hard for Him! So I give it all to Him. It's in His hands.

There was a time recently that my 8 year old told me he had a dream about me losing the rest of my hearing and being completely deaf. I told him that I had dreamed about that too. But told him God can still heal me...it will be an even greater testimony of His healing power through Jesus. So even though I am frustrated and angry and having a "pity party" and all this yucky emotional stuff, I want to learn to hold onto the truth of God's word...His word is truth. Satan is a liar, there is no truth in him. He wants to keep me from walking out in faith/trust and believing in God's word...I'm not going to let him defeat me!

Dear Heavenly Father;

I lift Tonya up to You right now. I pray that You would reach down and touch her ears. I pray that You would help her to adjust to her new hearing aid, and that this ringing in her ears would immediately cease.

Lord, I pray Your healing touch upon Tonya. Father, we know that You are the God that heals, so I pray healing for Tonya according to Your will. Restore her hearing, and please take away this ringing that has been causing her so much distress lately.

Most of all, Lord, I pray that You would continue to encourage and lift her up. Pour Your love on her, and fill her with Your peace. Continually remind her how special she is to You, and the eternal purpose that You have for her life....and remind her that whatever happens, it is in Your hand, and that You are in control.

Remove all fear from her, and strengthen her continually.
