Please Pray about Missing children and white slavery
Hello
I am not sure if people know the statistics on missing children in the US alone, which average about 1.6 million. Granted about half of these children to make it home and honestly often that is a miracle in itself, but currently there are about 800,000 children that have never been accounted for.
This ranges from missing babies that are sold and goes all the way to white slavery with an average age of about 16. Many as I am sure you are aware end up (both male and female) in prostitution in various places. Some of this is done through BDSM where it sounds like these kids will be taken care of (or so they think by joining a family), but often get taken and end up in many forms of domination.
Many of these children, to control them, start on drugs a very early age. I am sure that some of you here, know the realities. If we want to reduce porn, churches need to be more open and less critical. I do believe the only answer is Jesus through God, and I am happy to see that people like Shelley do what they do, but really the problem is huge.
People are needed to go to churhces and explain the realities, to start with and secondly work with churhces to help sex workers in need and a lot of that is to just be a friend, which goes further than one can imagine.
Most of the kids that I have met personally don't see any hope or any future and certainly in many homes there was no future to start with.
I sort of see the porn industry as not the problem, it is certainly the result of mixed problems, starting with the body of Christ where many do not believe we can do much about it and as such don't get involved in any level. Then of course porn is allowed for other reasons including constitutional rights.
The attitude I would prayerfully see adopted by the body is:
We are responsible…..
When anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help, We want our hand always to be there. For that we are responsible.
We are responsible both to God and each other.
It Doesn't have to be the way it is!
Evil can only prosper when God's people do not work together or do little or nothing, which is probably the biggest need for prayer.
Doing something is to save our lives as it helps others, but what it really does is give our children a chance at life.
I never knew that there were so many people missing... It's sad that after some time, people stop trying to look and somehow forget, but these are people's sons daughters sisters brothers cousins, ect... I'll be praying for all the missing children that God will protect them and bring them safely home. Lord I thank you for all the missing children who are also now angels in Heaven watching over their families. Give the mothers and fathers, the sisters and brothers, and all the family members of these children... Your children, PEACE. In Jesus Name. :)

Sorry, please don't call it "White Slavery", race is really not part of the criteria.
I understand it's startling that it can happen to normal Americans etc, but "New Slavery" really doesn't discriminate at all, just "Old Slavery".
Sorry if I have touched a nerve but it sounds racist.
