I am interested in knowing whether there is anywhere where people who aren't Christians can go for porn addiction. I gave up internet pornography for the New Year and so far I am still 100% free from it. I created a recurring donation to a charity for women's violence here in the UK to remind myself of the violent/abusive side of hardcore pornography that viewers don't appreciate and which Shelley has brilliantly brought to our attention. I have previously donated to the Pink Cross.

But I am a Buddhist and I use meditation to clear my mind and see me through. There are hundreds of thousands - maybe millions - of men who are compulsive porn viewers who have massive problems in their private lives as a result. It seems to me to be crazy that there are no resources for those of us who are not Christian and who aren't interested in the 12 Steps programme.

Can anyone offer me any advice?

Depends what you mean by

Depends what you mean by "secular" I guess... Everyone has faith in something. I don't think I'd ever manage to come close to being as free as I am today, had it not been for Jesus Christ.

I honestly don't know though. I hope you break free, but I don't think you'll find that many people on this forum at least who've been truly set free on their own.

Best wishes and blessings

Thanks Peter

I want to point out if it's not clear already that I think that Shelley Lubben is one amazing woman for telling the world what the porn fantasy actually consists of.

Your Google searching skills are much stronger than mine! Thank you very much for giving that link. I couldn't find anything. I will try the forum out now.
