Need prayer
Good evening everyone. Just making a stop by as I have not been here for a while to ask for prayer. I again have fallen to temptations of watching porn on the net. I for the life of me can't get over the fact of knowing that what I am doing is WRONG and pure sin, but still test God's seriousness to his word by doing what is wrong anyway. I have cried out in my heart to have Jesus come in and cleanse me. I feel like an absolute piece of trash calling myself a Christ follower when the word says that those who walk in the light yet follow darkness are liars. Please pray for me that Jesus will hear my prayers however feeble they may be and use me to overcome my addictions. How can I trade my life and salvation for what he has in store for me is beyond me right now. The enemy is putting heavy weights on my heart right now. It is really easy to go to church, serve and be the good guy and smile and look like everything is ok but am dying inside. Thanks for reading and God bless those who fight with us as well.

Heh Bro,I too until recently had this habit of falling back into the old habit.I had heard of the computer plan offered through covenant eyes for christian men such as yourself suffering through the merciless onslaught of ubiquitous temptation.Basically it involves two levels of commitment:one level is the establishment of self protection through a internet filter and the second more serious commitment is having a christian brother or pastor accountability partner to monitor your on line activity.
This information is all available for you through googling COVENANT EYES.-God bless.
Thanks for sharing that Lighterman3... keep passing the word!

I just recently read that 'hidden sin is the achilles heal of the Church'. No doubt... so true. And porn is the perfect example of this... for so many reasons.
I have no doubt that you know the answer to the dilemma... your post proves that.
God not only wants to 'get you out of the red' and save you from falling to the temptation of the sin... but He wants you to be able to 'live in the black' (economic allegory there....)
God has amazing plans for your life this year my friend... and I just sense that maybe now is the time to believe that God has more in store for you than just 'not looking at porn'. But, and actual life living in victory... day to day... living beyond the grip of porn.
The Spirit is leading you to pull away from porn... believe that God has more for you... and lets get this going.
I admire your vulnerability.... great place to start moving forward. A heart that is truly poor in Spirit is the best place to start. (Matthew 5)
Be God's, Bro...

Me too, though I have recently cut off all access to porn on the net, that may well be something you need to do as well.
