I am new here to this site. I am a porn addict, have been since I was about 13 years old. I am now 31. I am married, and have three children. Most of this porn addiction was drug realated, now I have 5 years clean off of drugs. The porn stuck with me however. I have nobody to really talk to about this issue, no accountability partner and have nobody I can really talk to counciler wise. I cannot afford it finaincially.

Hello Welcome to the forums glad you found us! Take a look around the site there is loads of useful information and ideas that will help you so please read as much as you can!! Porn is tough to quit and it may be a long ride out for you but you can do it! I used drugs as well and I can really say that it was easier to quit drugs than it was to quit porn! You say in your post “Most of this porn addiction was drug related” can you please explain how you mean on that? Im not quite sure I understand would be great if you could give an example thanks. Are you involved in a church? They some times have help groups at church that you might be able to get involved with and yes they are free. Im really glad you are clean from drugs that’s encouraging your on the right track, im 10 years clean from drugs. Please let us know more about your story and how we can help or pray for you. How it was drug related was I would do lots of meth and watch porn for years. After a while it just became what I liked to do because the drug enhanced it. The first time I came across porn is when I was 12 and it was in my moms top droor in her bedroom. I believe drugs is definatley easier of a habit to kick than the porn for me. I married almost four years ago to my wife and she was unaware of my addiction, she first found out the first year of our marraige. I have been caught twice now and its time I get help. I work sundays and dont go to church but I need to find a way to go., The town I live in seriously does not offer any help for porn problems, I have checked and also it is such a small town i am embarrased.
do you use an internet filter? safe eyes is great try using one it will help keep porn sites away have you tryed one?

wow meth and porn , if u mansged to kick a meth habit then u need to keep positive , i have openly stated that i cant understand how a person can be addicted to porn but it doesnt mean that i dont sympathise , im going to scrap all the talk and make another suggestion and that is excercise , each morning when u wake go out for a 2 mile jog , also adopt a weight training based programme at the local gym , spend lots of time with family and do various family activities , [edited by admin] do what i have suggested for 1 month and keep us posted on how you are getting on , i guarantee it will help , healthy body , healthy mind .
Thank you for the advice, I can try, but I work way full time, and have no extra time to spare. I have 3 kids and a wife so I just need to find a way to deal with it.
You can do it! If you truly want to rid yourself of this problem, you can. You can find strength in prayer. It is very convicting, which is exactly what I needed. Ask God for strength to keep you clean. If you put your faith in Him you will not be let down.
