My addiction is destroying my walk with God
I am 19 years old and for the past two years I have been addicted to pornography, masturbation, and inappropriate chatting.
On the outside, people see me as a good Christian girl, but on the inside, I battle this every single day.
I have tried to stop many times, but I have not gone more than a few weeks without falling.
I am plagued with guilt. I do not want this life, but I feel trapped in it.
Right now my Bible is sitting next to me, but I feel like I cannot read it because I have sinned so much.
I do not know what to do anymore. I am scared to reach out...it seems as if no one understands that women have sex addictions, too.
I want to be free from this. I want to live a life sold out for Christ, but the chains of sex keep pulling me back in.
Please pray for me.

Perhaps a different approach: Here are some steps you can take, that over a period of time you will see a difference.
1) Forgive yourself and others: A simple step is to start out and go to God and present yourself, just as you are. Be open and tell God you struggle with things and you need help. What ever day you choose to do this will work and will even give you scripture so you know it will work. On the day you do this, write down in a notebook and keep it in a safe place. Write down that you today went to God in Jesus name and asked for help and list the things you want help with. Then also write something like this, "today I turned to God and asked for help for the following and I put this in God's hands and I today trust God to deal with it and I ask it in Jesus name and by His blood.*edited by admin* Here is the guarantee that it works. What you bind on earth is bound in heaven and what you loose on earth is loosed in heaven.
What your doing is binding the problems as you see the problems. Then every day:
2) Take out your notebook and first pray the Lord's Prayer. In the Lord's Prayer you will find that what you doing is praying and sealing that God's will, will be done on earth in you and your also in doing so asking Jesus to walk with you to help you. Each day write down that you trusted in the Lord with all your heart and even if you don't have a clue as to what your doing, your trusting God and Jesus, by the power of the Holy Spirit to help you and guide you. Just write the date you do that and trust God that He will deliver and He will and has to because it is a blood oath bound on Jesus blood and the covenant is that piece of paper. God lives by His covenants and holds His covenants as more important than even He is. His words are eternal and as you walk EACH day in His covenant Jesus and the Holy Spirit will help you.
3) Learn to speak that you have a covenant with God and God is dealing with whatever you have submitted to Him, That God will deal with the problem or the need. What we believe, speak and do not doubt we will recieve.
4) Enter covenant agreement. That if any two gather in Jesus name and touch and agree to anything, it will be done.
We all because we are also spirit, because each of us are made of three parts, body, soul and spirit, we also because we are spirit can hear from other spirits other than God or His Spirit or Heart. In your statements that you make each day you empower the enemy or the Holy Spirit by how you speak. This is part of the discipline that we all have to learn, to speak His promises and not the problems. When we speak the problems we are going by Sight and when we speak His covenant promises and blessings we are going by Spirit.
5) Find God's plan for you. God has a purpose and calling, but we individually need to seek Him for that purpose and calling. By doing so you are also placing your future in God's hands and asking His will be done in your life, which includes your calling and purpose and any relationships that He wants for you. Then trust that He will show you what He has created you for.
We are all here on earth to choose to either walk with God, through Jesus and walk with each other in this thing we call the path of life. We all have things that we learn from each other and God if we are open.
By the way when God sees you or anyone for that matter, He doesn't see you or your imperfections, He sees the blood of Jesus. It is us that when we look at ourselves we see how really goofy we are.
If you have taken the steps, then trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding, but in all things, take it to God and trust He will direct your path. What He desires from all of us, for our own good, is for each of us to seek Him every day, giving Him whatever and asking for His help.
You will find over a period of time, that everything you have committed to Him, now and in the future, He will keep and honor. It's about learning to trust Him to deal with things and not us doing things in our own power. (your notebook will get filled, but will give you a record of what you asked for and what He has done for you and both are important to add)
6) Last but not least, praise Him for what He has done for Him and what He is doing for you now. That is in part in song, but also in what you speak in the future.

God does have a plan for everyone and everyone is called to be a part of ministry somewhere. All jobs in ministry are important as it is designed by God to be a servant and save lives. God gave us so much, but how much do we give Him in return?
There are so many women out there who long to be loved and to love....it's so easy to get caught up in the fantasy that is porn. Being a victim of abuse, men have desired after me for the wrong reasons my whole life. I used to take comfort in watching how porn stars had sex in order to please these men, but I wasn't pleasing God. The Lord has created us all in his image of purity and compassion. I know that someday I will meet a man who desires my heart not my body.
Hi, Devasha;
Jan has given you an excellent response.
I just want to add that you should never be afraid to reach out. We all have struggles. You commented that you cannot feel like you can read your Bible because you have sinned so much. That is a complete lie from the enemy.
God loves you, and that Bible is His love letter to you -- a love letter filled with songs and encouragement written for you, in order to help you through times like these. Don't let the enemy rob you of that. God wants you to read your Bible, and to be strengthened.
I know that you want to be free from this, and you can be free. It will take a lot of prayer and discipline, though. Really build yourself up in the word of God, and allow His Spirit to speak to you and minister to you. God will empower you to be free of this, but you will need to put on your spiritual armour.
God does not condemn us, but sometimes we condemn ourselves. Jesus does not condemn you. He loves you, and wants you to be victorious -- but the only way you are going to be victorious is by getting into God's word, and prayer. You need to be built up spiritually, so that you can resist the temptation when it comes. The Bible says that if we walk in the Spirit, we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh (Gal. 5:16).
Next time you feel weak, or sucked in by temptation, just remember that God would never give us a command that we couldn't follow, and that you do have the power to overcome this, but only through God's strength. Satan will tell you otherwise, but remember 1 John 4:4 "Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world."
I hope that helped. Stay strong, and remember that God is on your side, and He loves you so much.

Ps. 108:13 Through God we shall do valiantly, for it is He who shall tread down our enemies
I understand how women can lust, how we feel when we're alone and emotional and want to feel the warmth of someones touch, we want to fill a void, an emptiness. We are flesh and our flesh will seek out what it knows best, human touch, affection, passion etc... What you have to keep in mind and dwell on constantly is that we as Christians are called to be Christ like. We are called to be above the flesh and fleshly desires. Is this easy? No of course not, but it can be done!!
The devil would have you believe that the only way to find true comfort, passion, love and fulfillment is through the things that this world offers, sex, drugs, alcohol....but because we are in Christians we know differently and can call on Jesus when the devil tries to tempt us with these things. Perhaps Nicole C. Mullen said it best when she sang "When I call on Jesus". Here is the chorus from that song...
"But when I call on Jesus,
All things are possible
I can mount on wings like eagles' and soar
When I call on Jesus,
Mountains are gonna fall
'Cause He'll move heaven and earth to come rescue me when I call"
God loves you so much, don't let the devil deceive you into believing you're not worth our heavenly fathers forgiveness. Oh precious one I wish I could be there to give you a hug. Greater is HE that is in you than he that is in the world!! ("You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world".1 John 4:4- New American Standard Bible)
And don't ever think you are so far caught up in sin that God can't reach you, God is always with us, HE never leaves us, it is us who leave HIM.
"For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard." Romans 3:23 - New Living Translation
God knows we are not perfect and that we will fall, but HE loves us so much that if we ask for forgiveness in HIS name HE gives it to us. HE is our ultimate lover, friend, companion... Call on HIM daily and nightly. Whenever you feel the urge to masturbate or watch porn, pop in a Christian CD and just start praising God and rejoicing in HIM. There is great power in praise and the devil will flee from you!! I love you sis, don't give in and don't give up!

Thank you so much for your words. Right now I am really struggling with leaving all my sin behind. It is so, so hard. Prayer would be such an encouragement.
