Hi everyone,

Well I happened to get a ink from and friend of mine and saw Shelly on Joni's show.I am seriously addicted to porn.I have made amateur porn and I can't seem to get free from watching it when I am not making it.I hate myself for destroying myself with this sin.I know it is sin and I know Jesus wants better for me.If anyone could share any advice it would totally help.

Hey Liz,

I have absolutely been right where you are. I struggled with a pornographic addiction for nearly 10 years. One crucial piece of advice I have is to love God more than you hate the sin. For me, it was so easy to stand there and say, "I hate pornography. I hate pornography. I hate. I hate" but the problem is, when you do that you are still thinking about porn. So, instead, switch it and think about how much you love God. I know it is different, but it honestly worked for me. Not the first time, or even the second time. But it did work because one day I realized that I was breaking God's heart and I loved Him so much I did not want to do that anymore. That was my true breaking part and I basically cold-turkeyed porn. Freedom is amazing!

Hi, Liz;

I agree. That was definitely Christ who brought you here. I think that reading some of the articles will be helpful for you. Also, there are posts from other girls in this forum who also struggle with porn addiction. Maybe it will help if you read through a few of the threads.

Also, I want to encourage you to post a prayer request in the prayer request forums, that way, you will have other people praying for you.
