First of all, thank you Shelley and the rest who have shared your testimonies with us. As I was in the midst of removing all forms of pornography from my life, one of the things I prayed was that the Lord would reveal the truth to me about the porn industry. I didn't want to view it with passion colored glasses anymore. He has answered that prayer through this website. I will never be able to think of porn in the same way again, it's just not possible after knowing the truth. I know the truth from Scripture, and from here, and it has set me free. For those of you still struggling in this, I have to say that there were many, many steps leading to me to where I am today. It's not like I read the blog and BAM, no more issues. That's just not the case. This site was one of many assets I use to stay pure (and yes, I do fall at times, but not even close to the way I used to, and I get back up and move on). In any case there's been a lot of whistle blowing regarding the hardcore porn industry, and that kind of information is invaluable. What I'd like to know more about is the whole softcore scene, because it tends to be more widely accepted and sugar coated. I'm not saying it's ok. I know it is not. Christ told us if we even look upon a woman with lust, we have already committed adultery in our heart. I'm just wondering if there are any stories out there that could reveal the truth about "softcore pornography magazines"?  (Edited by Admin) To be honest, it's these types of things that I find tempt me the most (not that I give in, though I will admit to stumbling at times), not the hardcore stuff. Anyone out there relate? I thought revealing more truth about this garbage would be helpful not just for me, but for everyone here. God bless you ladies, you ARE a treasure and more beautiful than you could have ever have hoped to be in your former lives, thanks to Christ!

Thank you for posting this.

Thank you for posting this. I too am way more tempted by the softcore side of things because I hid behind a ton of excuses for years, one of which being "at least I'm not looking at full nudity, violence, rape, or underage stuff." What I do know is that "softcore pornography" (Edited by Admin) magazines laid the foundation for the industry we have today. They laid down the social and economic groundwork, but more importantly, they kept pushing the envelope as to what was acceptable. It can also be very hard to resist when it's the girl herself posting pictures on her own website, or on Myspace/Facebook, since that gives me the excuse of "no one's really being exploited here, that girl put this up out of her own free will." I started a thread a while ago about this subject and got some interesting responses: http://www.thepinkcross.org/pinkcross-forums/help-male-porn-addiction/so...

Right on Target!

They've sugarcoated the(ir) industry and everything associated with it.  Why so?  The more random people are exploited, the more money is generated.  As said in the statistics, 2006 global revenue was one misstep away from a hundred billion.  Imagine if the industry's revenue thousandfolded by 2011- that would definitely be alarming!  As of now, though, that new money is on its way to better places, such as awareness foundations.  All told, these foundations don't sugarcoat their actions and therefore make a lot of money.
