I hope you will all find comfort and strength and enjoyment in the lyrics and melodies of these two songs:
1. Russ Taff "Be Still"
I'd like to dedicate this to all of us who wrestle with insecurities and fears and anxieties and doubts.
2. Joni Mitchell "Passion Play"
I'd like to dedicate this especially to us Mary Magdelenes and Zacchaeuses in the world.

God does have a plan for everyone and everyone is called to be a part of ministry somewhere. All jobs in ministry are important as it is designed by God to be a servant and save lives. God gave us so much, but how much do we give Him in return?
Funny story about this song. I first heard this song a couple of days ago when I was watching one of the videos on this site about Sierra Sinn leaving porn. This song was playing during the video. The singer's voice and the style of music sounded really familiar to me, so I looked up the lyrics and was surpirsed to find out it was a Switchfoot song. Switchfoot happens to be my FAVORITE band. I have all of the albums and have seen them in concert FOUR times. This song, however, was on the Prince Caspian soundtrack and wasn't released on any of their albums, hence my missing it completely.
Read the lyrics. It's very prophetic. When I hear the song it hits close to home. Being a former porn addict, I feel like they wrote this song for me.

I have two songs for now.
In The Silence by Jason Upton
Not like most worship songs. I love the honesty of this song. It reflects how I feel sometimes.
My Life, My Love, My All by Kirk Franklin
Kirk is by far my fav. gospel artist. I love his honesty when it comes to him talking about his struggle with porn. What can I say about this song. It's so, so, so, so, so powerful and my fav. Kirk Franklin song ever.
You can hear both songs on YouTube.
I Can Only Imagine by Mercy Me
Perhaps, I have lived a sheltered life when it comes to contemporary christian music; however, the first time I ever heard this song was at classmates funeral a few months ago(in a little less than 20 years, 10% of my high school graduating class has passed away). Even though I only heard a small part of the song it completely blew me away.
Proverbs 26 verse 11: As a dog returns to his vomit, so a fool returns to his folly I.E. backsliders who go back into their sin.
Ephesians 2:1-2: Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.

Scandinavian Metal Praise - Take Me In
The Band plays known praise/worship songs, but the style is metal. Me likes! :)
My husband recently gave me the words to the song "Faith" by Jason Upton, since I am deaf. It's hard to hear the song well, but I love the words! It made me cry cuz I can relate to it so well! Anyone else familiar with it?

I'm a rock and roll freak.
I'm not really a christian music fan, but Jars of Clay - Flood is great
They're a Christian Band that "Wrote the soundtrack to the Apocalypse."
Diogenese
I am an Alan Jackson fan....
This song, "I Want to Stroll Over Heaven with You" speaks volumes for married couples. I love a good Southern Baptist hymn and this song has all the characteristics of a classic hymn.
Married couples need to stand strong in their faith with God and have the same commitment level with each other.
For all of you married couples out there...this one is for you...
"I Want to Stroll Over Heaven with You"
---------------------------------
I forgive everything and everyone
who could possibly need
forgiveness in my past and in
my future. I am free and
they are free too. Things are
cleared up between us now and forever.

"Little Baby Nothing" was the sixth single taken from the debut full-length album — Generation Terrorists — by the Welsh group the Manic Street Preachers. It features vocals by former porn star Traci Lords.
The song is about the sexual exploitation of a woman, and Lords agreed to a duet with the band's singer/lead guitarist James Dean Bradfield. Bradfield said that "we needed somebody, a symbol, a person that could actually symbolize the lyrics and justify them to a certain degree. Traci was more than happy to do it. She saw the lyrics, and she had an immediate affinity with them. It was definitely easy to incorporate her personality into the lyrics. We just wanted a symbol for it, and I think she was a great symbol. She sounds like a female Joey Ramone to me." Lords said that "I listened to the tape and really identified with the character in the song...this young girl who's been exploited and abused by men all her life."

I love that song. It tells a really good story. Joel Madden is pretty open about being a believer even though according to "the world" its not the cool thing to do, especially in Hollywood.
yeah but is he a believer?
Yes, well, according to an interview of him I saw on TV he is. It said he often carries a Bible with him wherever he goes, yet that doesn't necessarily make someone a believer. It's all about a "relationship" with Christ after all, not just toting a Bible around. From what I gather that's what the song "The River" is about. Like the verse " I've done alot of things wrong, but I swear I'm a believer. Like the prodigal son, I was down on my own, now I'm trying to find my way back home". Sounds like a child of God who has strayed out into the world and is trying to find their way back to God. I guess it could be interpreted differently though. What are your thoughts ? :)
yeah absolutley that song touches me and also the vidoe to Unpredictable is awesome and touches me too worth watching!
As for Joel no one knows apart from the people who know him best but I did notice some cool tattoos on him of pictures that could be based on his faith so it wouldnt surprise me
great song any how

Me and Jesus by Stellar Kart.
I just recently heard this song by visiting LJPhoenix website.
It's not a form of praise to God for me, but rather it is something that is kindling a small bit of hope inside for me.
