I am on the ministry staff at Westgate and am a new member on the Pink Cross forums though I have followed Shelley's ministry - with great admiration - for a while now.

We have a ministry to those struggling with sexual addictions both men, women, and spouses. We use the term intimacy disorder more frequently than sexual addiction because it is really not about sex but about learning how to have genuine intimate relationships.

Our church offers groups for men, women, and spouses. We host therapeutic intensive workshops, and teleconference groups all as a ministry (i.e. no charge - just like grace :)

I am gratefully walking in integrity today because of the ministry of others in my life and enjoy sharing the grace with others. Since we're not supposed to post links you can just look my profile up on here if you ever have questions.

sounds interesting

First of all, welcome to the forums! It's always good to have new people here.
I am interested in asking some questions...I am familiar with Douglas Weiss' ministry, Heart to Heart, and a few others. On Weiss' website, he talked about sexual anorexia. Are you familiar with it, and can you describe it more?

I noticed one website described sex addictions in terms of a fear of intimacy, and noticed you used intimacy disorder. Is sexual anorexia also considered fear of intimacy? How do you address it?

"Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are Mine!...I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior;...You are precious and honored in my eyes, and I love you...do not be afraid, for I am with you." (Is.43:4-5)
