Sex Industry Outreach Organizations
The Pink Cross Foundation founded by a former porn actress is a non-profit organization created to reach out to male and female porn performers and adult industry workers offering care packages with individualized recovery plans, financial assistance and resources to rebuild their lives. We are currently working with over 20 people who have either left porn or are on their way out.
Sex Industry Survivors is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping survivors of sexual exploitation. Sex Industry Survivors Anonymous, founded in 1997, offers weekly support group meetings. Sex Industry Survivors web site offers powerful education and a hotline at 888-702-7273.
Treasures is a group of women who reach out to women who are currently working in the sex industry of Los Angeles. They offer care packages with books and resources as well as support group meetings. Support is offered in the form of referrals for employment opportunities, professional counseling, and other services. 323-937-9525.
Children of the Night is a private non-profit organization dedicated to assisting children between the ages of 11 and 17 who are forced to prostitute on the streets for food to eat and a place to sleep.
